Digital Learning Platform for Employee Development

A digital learning platform designed to support employees in developing competencies and skills relevant to their professional needs.

As the UX Lead Researcher, I led a research-driven approach to understand employee needs, behaviors, and challenges across the learning journey. I worked across user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and behavioral data analysis to identify experience gaps and uncover opportunities for product improvement.

Research findings were synthesized into actionable insights and product recommendations, helping stakeholders make evidence-based decisions around navigation, content discoverability, learning flows, and content presentation.

Beyond evaluating individual features, the research helped establish a deeper understanding of how employees find, engage with, and navigate learning content, enabling the team to prioritize improvements based on actual user behavior rather than assumptions.

Through continuous research, evaluation, and iteration, I helped drive the platform toward a more intuitive, relevant, and user-centered learning experience, while aligning user needs with organizational goals for employee competency and professional development

UX UI Research & Design for Food Inspection Apps

Food Inspection Handler App

A field inspection application designed to support food inspection officers in conducting inspections and documenting findings directly in the field.

I applied a Design Thinking approach to understand the realities of the inspection process and how officers worked in different field conditions. Through field research, contextual observation, and user interviews, I mapped their existing workflows and identified challenges in documenting inspections, preparing reports, retrieving information, and monitoring inspection results.

The research revealed several key friction points, particularly around lengthy data-entry processes, information retrieval, and the management of inspection findings. These insights helped define the core problems and guided the team in prioritizing opportunities that could meaningfully improve the officers’ workflow.

I translated the research findings into user flows, solution concepts, and prototypes, which were iteratively evaluated through usability testing. Findings from each testing cycle informed improvements to the information architecture, interaction flows, and interface structure.

The resulting solution provided a simpler and more structured inspection workflow, enabling officers to capture inspection data, access relevant information, and manage inspection reports with less unnecessary complexity.

This project reinforced my approach to UX Research: understanding the context behind user behavior, translating field evidence into actionable product decisions, and validating solutions against real-world workflows—not simply optimizing how an interface looks.

UX UI Research & Design for Church Web App

From 2021-2023

Church Management SaaS Platform

A web-based SaaS platform designed to help churches manage community activities, member data, and administrative operations within a single system.

I was involved across the research-to-design process, using user interviews, surveys, and workflow analysis to understand how church administrators and members manage their day-to-day activities. The research explored workflows ranging from member data management and event administration to donations and communication.

The research revealed different needs and pain points across user groups, particularly around the complexity of administrative processes and the need to maintain essential information without adding unnecessary steps. These findings helped inform product priorities and the structure of key workflows.

Based on the insights, I translated user needs into user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes covering core areas such as event management, member databases, donations, and communication. These solutions were evaluated through usability testing to validate whether the proposed flows were understandable and aligned with users’ existing ways of working.

Findings from testing informed multiple iterations across the information architecture, user flows, and interface design. The resulting experience was designed to be simple, responsive, and accessible to users with varying levels of digital experience.

This project strengthened my ability to work with complex products involving multiple user types and interconnected workflows, while ensuring that research insights translated into practical product decisions and solutions that fit within the organization’s existing way of working.

UX UI Research & Design for Mandarin e-course

2022

Mandarin Learning App

A language learning app designed to help users learn Mandarin through a more structured, interactive, and personalized learning experience.

I applied a Design Thinking approach, combining user interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis to understand how users currently learn Mandarin, where they struggle, and what influences their motivation to continue learning.

The research revealed that users needed more than access to learning materials. They wanted opportunities to actively practice what they learned and see tangible progress over time. These insights helped shape the product direction, including the learning structure, practice experience, and progress-tracking features.

I translated these findings into user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to explore and validate different concepts for learning, practice, and progress tracking. Prototypes were evaluated through usability testing, with findings used to iteratively refine the experience.

The final design focused on making learning content easy to understand and act on, while making progress more visible and engaging. The experience was designed to support users’ learning needs while encouraging them to maintain momentum and continue their learning journey.

This project strengthened my understanding of designing educational products where success depends not only on usability and task completion, but also on user motivation, learning behavior, and sustained engagement.

UX UI Research & Design for Rent Bike or Car Apps

2021

Coconut Rent Bike App

A bike rental app focused on making the rental and booking process simpler, clearer, and easier to navigate.

I conducted user interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis to understand how users search for and rent bikes, as well as the factors that influence their booking decisions. The research identified several key friction points, including a lengthy booking flow, unclear pricing information, and limited visibility of real-time bike availability.

These findings informed the restructuring of the booking journey, allowing users to move more seamlessly from selecting a location and checking available bikes to comparing options, choosing rental dates and times, and completing payment.

I developed and evaluated multiple prototypes through usability testing to identify points of confusion and validate improvements. Key iterations focused on the date and time selection flow, bike comparison, and the introduction of ratings and reviews to provide additional context during the decision-making process.

The research also highlighted the importance of providing users with the right information before they committed to a booking. As a result, pricing, bike availability, rental details, and payment information were made more visible and accessible throughout the journey.

The resulting experience provided a more streamlined booking flow, helping users clearly understand what they are renting, how much it costs, when it is available, and what to do next.

This project strengthened my approach to UX by demonstrating how research can uncover decision-making barriers and translate them into clearer, more efficient product experiences.
